As each milestone is reached, the patient receives a new, progressive set of aligners to continue the teeth straightening journey is complete and desired results are achieved. 

The process begins with the digital mapping of the patient’s teeth, administered by your Grand Parkway Smiles dentist, and a computer-modeled treatment plan is customized for the individual patient’s teeth straightening needs. This advanced digital technology allows the patient to see in advance how his or her teeth alignment will change over time, with each progressive set of aligners, until the ultimate goal outcome is reached.

Teeth impressions are then used to diligently and precisely manufacture the progressive sets of aligners to be worn by the patient over a course of typically 12 months. Invisalign orthodontics outcomes are highly dependent on the patient’s commitment to wear the clear aligners for the prescribed 22 hours per day (including night-time). A new set of aligners is usually provided to the patient every 2 weeks. 

While each patient is different, Invisalign clear aligners are typically only taken out for teeth brushing and flossing, as well as eating and drinking.
